Stuff I Use
Desktop Apps
NeoVim- I have been using neovim every since i got into programing but i'm still kinda noob with motions, mainly cause I still use arrow keys for navigation and I've only recently started using `hjkl` keys.
Zed- I've been trying out Zed recently (again). I used it when when it released but i didn't end up sticking to it. I'm trying it again, thanks to juwee, and It has obviously gotten a lot more mature my previous stint with it, and I've been enjoying my time with it. I'll update this if i end up sticking with it this time around.
Ghostty- Ghostty is just such a bliss to use. It has amazing defaults and looks amazing.
Zen Browser- Arc spoiled me with the vertical tabs UI, and I like having the uniformity of having the sidebar on right side. :D
Aseprite
- I use Aseprite when I have to do some pixel art every once in a while (Like the page header and list markers :P).
Syncplay- Syncplay made watching movies with my bestie very easy. It's kinda iffy with mpv but works out-of-the-box with VLC.
qbitorrent- The Best torrent client. what else can I say.
Vencord- I mainly use vencord for Catppuccin theme, Last.fm rich presense and nitro emojis.
mpv and
IINA- I use both mpv and IINA, depending on how I'm envoking it (through the terminal or Finder)
Desktop Games
OpenTTD- I play OpenTTD every now and then with an oomfie. But during each gameplay, I'm $2M in debt by the 1hour mark. ðŸ˜
Xash3D-FWGS- I love playing Half Life. I wanna play Half Life 2, but afaik, there isnt a good source port for it and the Source Engine "leak" fails to compile on my system.
OpenJKDF2- I had been looking for Jedi Knight: Dark Force 2 for almost 12years, cause I used to play the Demo of it on my uncle's laptop. I remembered the gameplay but not the name. No kidding, I cried when i finally played it thanks to OpenJDF2
Mobile Apps
Beeper- Beeper quite literally changed my life. with beeper, I can take long breaks from social media and not worry about missing texts from my oomfies. The desktop app is kinda sluggish on my 13year old Macbook but the android app is one of the best chat clients which I have used.
Birday- I'm not really good with dates and I forget my loved one's birthdates all the time. But ever since I have been using Birday, I haven't really missed a simple important date. :D
Apple Music
- Best Music Service and you can't convince me otherwise. (Weeekly aren't available to stream in my region tho ðŸ˜)
Pano Scrobbler- Pano has no competition, whatsoever. I wish it was available on macOS tho.
Redomi
- As I mentioned earlier that I use Apple Music, I dont have to worry about opening poopify link as Redomi makes it super convenient to open links in either youtube or apple music
ReVanced Youtube- So, you're telling me, that you watch Youtube without Revancing it? in big 2025?
FlorisBoard- the only keyboard app which fits all my niche requirements. You'll have to follow the beta channel for updates tho
Standard Notes- I don't ask for much in a notetaking app, and standard notes fits that requirement for me. :P
ReadYou- the best RSS reader app for android. no second thoughts.
