Hello!! It’s Me, Savy!

If you are reading this, that means i have finally sat down and written a blog entry instead of tinkering around and trying out new stuff for this website (which i never shipped) 😭.

I originally planned to start writing things back in January of 2024, (I registerd the domain on the 15th). I tried to write a lot of times thru the year but ended up scrapping the drafts each time cause what i wrote was either too short, not “perfect” enough or just i didn’t feel like posted whatever i typed.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been exploring “the indie-web”, mostly bearblog blogs, all because i somehow stumbled upon pj’s blogs ¹, which you should definitely check out! After reading all kinds of blogs for a week straight, I found that the people posting blogs, didnt necessarily have fully fleshed out, “30-minute read” blogs, which i had been accustomed to, thanks to big-media. They were, most of the time, more like brain-dumps, or just chain of thoughts. So when i started thinking over it, I realized that was what i’ve been missing this whole time. A medium to “talk” about things for when i didnt have a pair of ears to yap into (which to be honest, is 90% of the time lol).

One thing that really stopped me from posting, was the fear of getting judged. I’m gonna be honest, i’m not really that good that expressing my thoughts, so I commonly get misunderstood (or mis-judged or mis-interpreted) by others and it’s literally impossible for me to clear up these mis-understandings thanks to my anxiety 🥰. I barely post on social media because of this exact reason, (my twitter x is just me reposting tech or music stuff). So, I hoping this blog would help me fix that bit about me. :)

Another thing, the idea of owning a smol corner on the HUGE web is just cute to me. I wish i was old enough to be on the internet back in the geocities days, but i guess this works too cause apparantly personal websites have been making a comeback (that’s why I added those banners to the end of this website hehe).

This ended up being longer than i expected it to be, oops. Anywho, I hope you have a good time reading thru the stuff i write and checking out other fun things that i end up making for my personal digital museum!! 💞 (And Happy New Year lol!!)

I hope i’m able to consistently do this thing, this time around… 😅
